El Cerrito's 16,000 square foot, LEED certified City Hall and Council Chambers serves as a central hub for city services, public assembly, and emergency operations center. Paramount to the Architect and the City was the desire to create an identifiable Civic Center. El Cerrito's Historical Society is located in the tower with adjacent gallery space. The plaza in front of the facility is also be used to host public events and farmers markets. This project was part of the original Civic Center Master Plan and Assessments, also designed by Bull Stockwell Allen.
